John Soules Foods, Inc. started in 1975 from a 2000 square foot building near Tyler, Texas. In May 1996, we moved production into our new 83,000 square foot USDA Inspected meat processing facility.
In 1999, we added 25,000 square feet to support new cooked meat production lines as the industry expanded into fully cooked products.
By June 2006, we completed construction which expanded our production facility to over 250,000 square feet. This high volume state-of-the-art facility allows us to produce the highest quality and safest food products on the market today.
John Soules Foods is recognized nationally as a leading producer of value-added products. The Company is the leading Fajita processing and marketing company in the US. John Soules Foods distributes its line of Fajita products to Foodservice Distributors, Multi-Unit National and Regional Restaurant Groups, Supermarket Chains and Institutional Businesses.

Food security and safety are stressed in all aspects of operations, from standard operating procedures to reduce and eliminate issues before they happen, to facility design that allows for complete separation between raw and ready to eat products and personnel.
John Soules Foods operates an aggressive microbiological sampling and testing program for pathogenic organisms, including environmental and finished product testing. All ready to eat items are below detectable limits for pathogens prior to release to the consumer.
A firm commitment to superior product quality, product consistency and reliable service has enabled John Soules Foods to maintain an excellent brand reputation in all markets. The company has taken a very aggressive position regarding quality assurance and food safety. John Soules Foods operates under USDA mandated HACCP and Bio-security plans. John Soules Foods uses only fully accredited laboratory services (A2LA accreditation), and use only AOAC approved methods.
John Soules Foods is a member of the Beef Industry Food Safety Council, as well as having various employees maintain memberships in the National Meat Association, International Association for Food Protection, InternationalFood Technologists and American Meat Science Association.

The John Soules Foods Research and Development Department is comprised of the Corporate Executive Chef and Sr. Food Scientist. Their combined experience allows customers to create proprietary items as well as matching existing items. The R&D department has a broad knowledge of flavors and functional ingredients to provide rapid turnaround on both flavor and product functionality to meet specific client needs. Strong relationships with the nations leading spice blending and functional ingredient companies, allow for open access to new ingredients, ingredient formulation and new ingredient technology, for revisions or new concepts to be produced in a timely and cost effective manor.
In 2006, a new R&D facility was incorporated into the plant expansion, allowing new equipment to be
utilized in mimicking production process and capabilities to ensure a smooth transition of conceptual products into consistent production of the new items. With the current equipment utilized in the R&D department, approximately 90% of John Soules Foods production can be mimicked in an isolated environment to ensure new product quality and safety. Good working relationships with production floor managers and employees ensure the ease of testing new products in actual production equipment, as well as ensuring seamless transition into the production process.
